The four known courses of fire are a challenge that many have attempted but only a few have mastered.  It’s the CMP Bianchi Cup, and this year they are rolling out a new format to bring out the youth, allowing rim fire pistols.  The most popular division of USPSA competition is Carry Optics, and once again the national is a stand-alone single division contest. More than five hundred competitors have gathered at the Cardinal Shooting Center to find out who will be the National Champion. It’s the multi-gun match that simply will not die.  The Hornady Zombie 3Gun is an annual draw to the Heartland Public Shooting Center in Grand Island, Nebraska, the hometown of the largest family owned ammunition manufacturer in the world. Then, it’s the story of a D1 College shotgun team that does not have university support or even a coach, but they do have a national championship.



AUGUST 6, 2025

Nearly a thousand competitors are on the historic ranges of Camp Perry to make a run at being on the Presidents 100. It is a service rifle match that tests accuracy and equipment alike, especially when mother nature gets involved. Plus, the story of the iconic M1 Garand, one of Jim’s favorite rifles, which will forever be one of History’s Guns.


AUGUST 13, 2025

The CMP’s Talladega Marksmanship Park plays host to a series of rifle and pistol matches utilizing period correct battle rifles and as-issued pistols to honor and remember the heroes of D-Day. Plus, John goes to the line with a CMP 1911 to try out a new as-issued pistol competition format.

The UHSS is a practical hunting simulation designed as a shooting sport that anyone can participate in. The national is set in the stunning backdrop of western Colorado’s Cameo Shooting & Education Park. Plus, John tries his hand at the Ultimate Hunter Archery Challenge to find out if he has what it takes to be competitive.
